Attitude of teachers in relation to intercultural prejudices with students of the Educational Institution "José Olaya Balandra", La Perla - Callao

Abstract

This research is titled: "Attitude of teachers in relation to intercultural prejudices with students of the Educational Institution José Olaya Balandra de La Perla, Callao", it corresponds to the type of basic research, descriptive level and cross-sectional and quantitative method. The research was carried out during 2006 in the Educational Institution "José Olaya Balandra" of the district of La Perla, Callao region. For this purpose, two questionnaires were applied with the Survey technique, both to students and teachers in order to establish the relationship between the variable: teachers' attitude, and the variable: intercultural prejudice with students. The sample was made up of 193 students, a sample size chosen probabilistically with a 95% confidence level and a 0.05% margin of error. The second sample corresponds to a total of 23 teachers, a sample size chosen non-probabilistically and representing the entire teaching population.
